Training: Fighting Hunger: Accessing Food Programs for NYC Residents (Benefits Plus Learning Center)
There are a number of food programs to help fight hunger. Come and learn about these programs, who qualifies, including whether individuals who are undocumented can apply, how to access these benefits, and how they coordinate with one another. Included benefits are SNAP, WIC, Commodity Supplemental Food Program, Congregate Meals, Meals on Wheels, Health Bucks, Emergency Food Programs, Fresh Farm Fresh Community Supported Agriculture program, and more. 
Tuition: $75.00 -  Sign up by 5/16/19 for the Early Bird price of $60.00.
Target Audience: Social service professionals working with low-income households in need of food assistance.
  • 3.0 contact hours are available for NYS Licensed Social Workers. Certificates will be issued at the end of the training upon submission of a completed training evaluation and full payment of the training.
